From Carried to Classroom: John’s Journey to Independence

John’s mother carried him to a OneWorld Health outreach clinic with a notebook documenting his diagnosis: spina bifida. He couldn’t walk or attend school.

Volunteers provided John with a wheelchair and walker. He now uses the walker in small spaces and the chair for longer distances—including the path to his classroom.

John’s future is brighter, and OneWorld Health is expanding its Masindi facility to include a therapy unit so more children like him receive ongoing care.
