Struck by Lightning, Saved by Compassion: Afiya’s Story

Late one evening, Afiya arrived at the hospital after being struck by lightning. She was in severe pain and suffering from first-degree burns across her arms and legs. The medical team quickly assessed her condition and administered IV pain medication to help manage her discomfort. They carefully cleaned and dressed her wounds to prevent infection and began monitoring her closely.

By the time she was ready to leave, her burns were healing well, and she was physically stronger. Grateful and relieved, Afiya expressed her heartfelt thanks to the hospital staff.

“I thank God you were able to work on me. Otherwise, I know I was going to suffer,” she said tearfully as she prepared to return home. Her recovery was a testament to the dedication and compassionate care provided by the team, turning what could have been a devastating ordeal into a story of hope and healing.
