For Erik, the Insight Global volunteer trip to Honduras was never just about healthcare—it was about something much deeper. It was about humanity.

"We all stepped out of our norms to help people who have less than we do," he reflected. "Yet despite that, their joy was overwhelming."

Even when the team faced unexpected challenges along the way, Erik’s perspective stayed grounded in gratitude. The experience opened his eyes to the stark contrasts between his life at home and the realities of the communities they served.

"We have resources here. They don’t," he said. "And that’s exactly why what we did mattered."

Erik left Honduras carrying more than memories—he carried a renewed sense of purpose, a clearer understanding of global need, and the conviction that the work isn’t done yet.

"There’s still work to do," he shared. "And now, I know I want to be part of it."
