Leaving a Piece of My Heart in Uganda: Brandon’s Story

Since Keller Interiors began partnering with OneWorld Health in 2018, we’ve always felt a deep connection to their mission.
Serving others with purpose isn’t just something we believe in—it’s woven into the fabric of who we are. And while much of our partnership has been focused on supporting from afar, having the chance to experience the impact firsthand brought our commitment to life in ways I could never have imagined.

In March 2023, I traveled to Uganda with the OneWorld Health team.
I thought I understood the importance of their work. But being there—walking the dusty paths between villages, standing inside the clinics, shaking hands with the doctors, and sitting with the patients—gave the relationship a new layer of meaning.

There’s something about seeing it with your own eyes.
Hearing the stories. Feeling the warmth of the people. Witnessing the challenges—and the hope.
It’s something you can’t fully describe in words, but it stays with you.

Every patient we served, every caregiver we met, every community we visited reminded me why this work matters. It left me feeling humbled, thankful, fulfilled—and invested in a way I hadn’t expected.

I left a piece of my heart in those places. And I came home with a deeper sense of purpose, knowing that Keller Interiors isn’t just supporting a cause—we’re part of a movement that’s changing lives.
