Team Costa Rica: Clinic Day 1

May. 7, 2019

What did we learn today in Costa Rica?

1. It’s not easy as you think for 35 adults to shout out a number in their given order.
2. You must trust your driver in San Jose traffic.
3. We can all sit a little closer, hug a bit more, and even give a cheek kiss.
4. Beginning to become bilingual starts by writing phrases on your forearm.
5. Transforming classrooms into triage, therapy rooms, provider rooms, pharmacy, and a lunch room is possible in a matter of moments.
6. Kids will pull old gum from under a child school desk and start chewing it without their parents seeing them do it.
7. Grace and gratitude go hand-in-hand.
8. OneWorld Health along with Christ For The City (CFCI) can make it possible for this team to see more than  200 medical and dental patients in one day.
9. Blown up rubber gloves can make a baby stop crying.
10.  Amazing rehabilitation centers are hard at work to transform through God and love possibilities of everyone.

Today we learned especially learned to find our special identity that we’re given, sharing that gift with others, encouraging one another, and learning from one another. Most like complete strangers who met only 24 hours ago can make an amazing team.
